Add a banner in home page...beetween header and "september news"

Hello zenners,
i have a banner, but i don't know how i can add it.
if you go http://lnx.tocly.com/store
you can see that there is the header orange banner, and under there is the yellow table named "Le novità di Settembre"..
how do can i insert a banner them and centered in the page?
Which is the file that i have to change?

Edit define_main_page.php in the Define Pages Editor in Admin - Tools, and put your code for the banner there.

You'll need to use admin -> tools -> banner manager

to set up and activate your banner.

Once you've done that you need to go to admin -> configuration -> layout settings

and assign your new banner to Banner Display Groups - Header Position 3

Ok... but just a question.. If the banner is not an image, but an .swf file, how can i add it in the home page?
i cannot import it by admin--> banner...

perfect... i modify the tpl_main_page with this code and IT WORKS!!!

i'm sorry... but i'm checking my website and i see that the swf banner is visible also when i navigate in categories and products...
I want only put it in home page..not in the entire site!!
How can i do that????

The variable for:
$this_is_home_page

goes a long ways ...

if ($this_is_home_page) {
// do it
} else [
// do something else or don't do it
}
