Disable all displays of "New Products"

I am trying to find out how to turn off the display of "New products for MONTH" on a global basis

I have searched and this I found but it only works on the main page.

Admin - Configuration - Index Listing - Show New Products below Product Listing - set to 0
This does not turn off the "new products" in the category pages.

I want to turn off display of new products from all product categories everywhere in the cart. I am using the cart as a restaurant menu and as it is now the "new products" display "sandwiches" in seafood section etc.

I have gone through menu after menu trying to find out how to turn this off globally.

I think I am going blind!

*edit because I re-read and that should have turned them off on the categories page, so I am at a loss lol

Did you turn off all the other new product options listed there? I.E. Show New Products on Main Page - Category with SubCategories etc?

You mean you want to turn off the New Products sidebox?

If so, you might peek in the Tools ... Layout Boxes Controller ... and turn off the sidebox that you do not wish to see ...
