    Default Fantastico and editing Zen

I have been looking at how to take off "Congratulations! You have successfully installed your Zen Cart™ E-Commerce Solution." and "sales message goes here" but everyone has replied with answers as to how to change it if you downloaded Zen to your computer. I am on Zen via Fantastico so I cant edit it in the same way.
    Does anyone know how?

actually you do change it the same way,
you need to download the files to your PC and edit them in a text editor and re-upload

all fantastico does is install the script,
    after that its all yours

it still doesnt appear to be working. The "Congratulations...." text isnt in those files for some reason. and surely it should be.

If you have fantastico do you also have CPanel..
if so. files can be edited via cpanel file manager...
However...much safer to use ftp and download file as you have already been advised...try

It's a bad idea to edit php files using the editor in the CPanel file manager. That editor tends to add "white space" to the file and messes up php to no end. You are much better off downloading (FTP) the file to your local drive, editing it with a good text editor like Crimson Editor or Notepad++ and uploading (FTP) the modified file to the site.
