Buying Item A and the option of Item B

I went through this forum and got lost but still couldn't find the help I need.

I will try to explain this:

I am selling "item A" as a direct download.
If they decide they want "item a" there is also "item b" that they can purchase at an additonal cost, to go with "item A" if they want to. I wanted to put this all on the same item page instead of listing 2 items. I don't want people to come and buy "item B" without first buying "item A".

Does that make sense?
Any suggestions?

If worst comes to worst I can simply list them as 2 different items - I am just trying to avoid doing that and think there must be a way of doing this using attributes.

Oh my gosh Misty - I never even thought to try the mods. I just assumed it was an attribute issue lol.

OK I downloaded that mod and read through it and I have no idea what he is talking about. That to me is a good sign not to try it or I'll screw it all up LOL

There is another way via wikki tutorial but that is more
complicated than my original suggestion.
