Most of my customers place orders over the phone and many of those are custom orders. I'd like to keep track of all orders in Zen Cart, so I've read about people creating a new account for the phone customers (using the customer email address for login and password or something similar to that). That sounds like a good solution.
I'd like to do something like that, but have some sort of flexibility to add a custom product pricing as well. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I've thought about having a product called "custom" with a $1 price, then changing the quantity to the added increase, but I worry about other customers coming and ordering a bunch of $1 custom nothings that I'll have to refund.
Does anybody have any ideas or suggestions for me?
