Default Stock by Attributes Module: Allowing Minus Quantities to be Purchased!

    Hi there!

I wonder if anyone can help me here please. I've installed and I'm using this module on a live shop, populated with 100's of permutations of product. I'm able to assign quantities to each variation of my product, so it seemed to be a great way of managing the stock.

The problem is that the system's allowing the stock to go into minus figures and not go off stock to the store users as it should. This means I have to keep an eye on the stock and then remove each product attribute to stop peole buying that item! In a store with over 500 different items, this is time consuming.

I have been into admin / config / stock and specified not to sell items that are out of stock, warn me when thry get low etc, but this option seems to have no effect on the added module I have installed. Can anyone offer any advice please?

I've just done a fresh install of 1.3.9f with SBA 4.8 (creiner's mods) and initially I encountered this problem. I then went to Configuration -> Stock in the admin and realised that "Allow Checkout" was set to "true", which will - as you and I have seen - allow someone to checkout even with insufficient stock levels.

I disabled it and, instantly, the test purchase I had in another tab wouldn't allow me to proceed to payment until I revised the stock level. Sorted! :-)

    hi there

i am using zencart v1.3.9d and i have installed stock by attribute from http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=310 but am having a small issue.

i have sizes small medium and large and colors black grey and blue. i defined the quantity for each of the combinations using stock by attribute except for blue having size large.
then i added the product to my cart having color blue and size large and i was able to checkout when i didn't even define the quantity for it in the admin stock by attribute feature!!
it should have given me a warning during checkout n stop me from checking out.

is this a bug? or i didn't install the contribute properly? i really cant figure it out.

    please help
