    Default UPS Shipping - not working (UPS-XML addon)

    Just wondering if this is working.
    I am getting this message:

    We are unable to obtain a rate quote for UPS shipping.
    Please contact the store if no other alternative is shown.

    Note I am in Canada, and not sure if anything needs changing to make it work for my location.

    Hi Breck,

    I've seen other threads that say you need to use the UPS XML module if you're shipping from or within Canada, not the default UPS module in Zen Cart. It's available from the Wiki link (above, right) under 3rd Party Contributions/Shipping Modules.

    I've downloaded and installed that and can't get it to work. The author tells me it does work with 1.3.8a so there's something wrong with my setup I guess. I've started another thread in this forum asking for help with it, but no answer so far.

    Let me know if you've got this working please.

    I don't think it works with 1.3.8
    It is dated 2005, far before 1.3.8 was released.
    I think in the past 3 years, something might need updating.

    I've been in touch with the author and he says it works in a clean install of 1.3.8a. I've no reason to doubt him.

    But I've tried installing it on 2 different sites, one running 1.3.8a and one running 1.3.6 and neither works. I believe there is something wrong with the way I'm setting it up, but I can't figure out what. And UPS tech support is zero help, so far.

    I installed it, registered at ups, but waiting to see if they approve my account.

    Good question. I'm working on someone else's site and they are registered. Got the access key and all that. But I don't know if they registered at ups.com or .ca. I'll have to ask them.

    I think it's all the same.
    .com is the standard site and you just choose your country.

    Finally got registered with UPS and had to wait several days for account to be activated.

    Went through all the steps and got it working.

    Only problem I found is that the weight appears wrong.
    Seems to add 3kg. On a 3.9kg item, it comes up 6.9kg.

    Let me know how far you got and maybe I can help you out.
