Default Character encoding in text field

I found this in 1.3.7 and will upgrade and test in 1.3.8 also.

    Symptom:

In the text box for an item a link is entered:

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://mydomain/zencart_test/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5_10&products_id=52">Product</a>
You edit and correct for validation:

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://mydomain/zencart_test/index.php?main_page=product_info&amp;cPath=1_5_10&amp;products_id=52">Product</a>
So far, so good. Once it is saved this way it works, validates, great!

You go in to edit a piece of text in the item description or anywhere else in the item edit page and this is the link that shows up in the edit box:

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://mydomain/zencart_test/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5_10&products_id=52">Product</a>
Zencart does not keep the character encoding intact. Minor bug, but a little irritating to have to remember to edit all the links placed in the descriptions every time an edit is made to a product in order to validate a page.

I tried to search and see if this problem has been reported for any version, but, the search does not seem to work really well on this forum, or I still haven't figured out all of the terminology you all use around here.

It's a known issue that the html entities are decoded on edit.
We hope to have it fixed in the next version.

Just wanted to touch base to see if there is any progress on this issue. It just bit me, and I'd like to be able to use certain characters - left and right double quotes, mdash, etc.

    Thanks!
