LOCAL sales tax ?

Configuring zones per STATE (USA) is easy.

But I couldn't find how to do it per CITY.

So I searched this forum and all I could find was this note about a special mod:

Local Sales Tax Mod (with admin!) for testing


Before going ahead and installing yet another hack into the SUPPORTED zen cart package, can someone confirm that this is really THE ONLY way to handle LOCAL sales tax?

In other words, can I handle LOCAL sales tax in zen cart by just adding NEW ZONES in the EXISTING v1.3.8b zen cart?

We developed a module: Tax by Zip Code - so you can do what you really need to: be able to tax by county, at least this is what is required here in California. PM me if you wish to learn more.
