IE and zencart logo.gif issue

I'm trying to remove the logo.gif all together and I did the php edit. adding( <!--) and (-->) to the code. When I check diff browsers, IE still shows the removed image box. However Safari shows a little "?" box, and Firefox displays the page like I want it?

Any idea's what I'm doing wrong?

You would be better off to change the file back the way it was.

Instead, open the CSS file you are using and at the very bottom add this line:

#logo { display:none }

Save and upload then refresh your Browser window.
