Default Any tricks to setting up MAMP to communicate with the Canada Post server o port 30000

The title just about says it all.

I'm not much used to configuring servers, but I like to work on complicated issues in Zen Cart using MAMP so I can experiment freely. In this case I'm fiddling with attributes to get better quotes out of the CP Sell OnLine server. So I need to ensure that MAMP is able to open port 30000, which is required by the CP software.

So if someone who's familiar with such things can lead me gently down that path, I would appreciate it.

I have no problem using it on MAMP out-of-the-box.

If you can't get "out" to the CP server on port 30000, maybe you've got a firewall blocking it? maybe in your router or in your mac?

I didn't mean that I can't get out using 30000. I meant that I don't know how to make sure that port 30000 is open in MAMP. How would I check that? Or set it up if it's not open by default?

On second reading, it looks like you're suggesting that it is open by default. I'll just plunge onward and try it.

    Thanks,

    Rob
