How do I put the shopping cart buttons on my own website?

I'm new to Zen Cart. I'm uploading my products to it and was just wondering how to get the shopping cart buttons on my own website. Any help with this would be appreciated.

The short answer is: you can't.

Zencart isn't designed as a back-end cart script - it's meant to be the only software on your store site.

Your site as it is, is pretty basic.
Once you upload the items and change the colors/images/logos to what you want, you will be thrilled with Zen, and will not need your current site.
Don't get discouraged....making the site look like you want may take a little while, but is well worth it.

Read the FAQ's for tips and answers.

One suggestion....buy the book! You will save a lot of time by not fumbling around. I wish I had bought mine sooner. I bought it after setting up my first cart....I could have saved HOURS and HOURS of time.

My website host is hostmonster and they told me that I could modify zen cart so I could use it on my own website. Does anyone know how to go about doing this or if I can find it in the tutorials for zen cart. Any help I can get would be appreciated.

Either Hostmonster is incorrect or you misunderstood their reply. Zen Cart doesn't work that way. It's not a backend.
