    Default Moved from subfolder to domain, but not working

    I followed the tutorial https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=122 to move my zen cart from

    http://www.mysite.com/pachi/

    to

    http://www.mysite.com/ , but this is what my site looks like now:

    For the first step: Determine the new foldername where your Zen Cart™ files will be running from.

    I didn't create a new foldername, since I moved everything to the root.

    In my configure.php files if something looked like this:

    define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/pachi/');

    I changed it to this:

    define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/');

    Did I do the changes correctly? Any advice on what I may have done wrong? I put my old site back for now until I can figure this out.

    Since in my limited knowledge it looks like a template problem, I also tried going back to the classic template, but that showed the same thing.

    I probably should've tried to see if everything else was working, like purchasing a test product, so maybe I'll try that later.

    The problem is that it's not finding the files (images and stylesheets) that define the look of your template. However, without seeing your site, it's difficult to see where it is looking for them, and from that deduce the problem.

    One common problem though is that people make the correct change to the configure files and upload it, forgetting that the file on their server is write-protected, so the change doesn't get applied.

    Thank you kuroi, I just put everything back, so you and others can help me figure this out. Hopefully I won't have any customers visit while I do this.

    I did confirm that the configure files where changed and had to actually go into cpanel to write protect them, because I first protected them through my ftp program which showed them as protected, but they actually were not.

    My site is www.BlueHotaru.com

    Thank you.

    Everything is in the right place, but accesses to the subdirectories where the stylesheet and template images are located are generating "403 Forbidden" messages.

    Quickest way to deal with this is to talk to your webhost who should be able to see why.

    Can you confirm these are the right file paths to those locations:

    /includes/templates/custom/images
    /includes/templates/custom/css

    Thank you.

    A full example would be
    PHP Code:
    http://bluehotaru.com/includes/templates/custom/css/stylesheet.css

    Thank you. I'll see what my hosting company says and hope they can fix it.

    Problem solved.

    My hosting company looked into the settings for this folder, and while most of them appear to be correct, the permissions for my /includes folder were listed as 744, they said if I set them to 755 it will work.

    Can someone verify that 755 is the correct security setting for this folder and these files?

    This tutorial on setting permissions does not seem to include this folder and these files: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=9

    Thank you.

    755 would be normal, but whether it is correct would depend upon your hosts security arrangements. Since they are telling you it is correct, it sounds unlikely that they would have anything in place to make it not so.
