help question Use Flash to choose attributes?

We're looking to use Flash to allow customers to design custom shirts. Since it is not currently possible with zen to have dependent attributes we're trying to accomplish the effect with Flash. Our .swf has a shirt that allows the customer to pick their options (color, font, saying, etc). Now we need to link the Flash form to the actual zen attributes.

Can anyone provide guidance as to where we might start with this? Is it as simple as making a POST to the right php file using the same variables we see in the page source?

    Hi JS,

Did you ever get any headway on this, I'm looking to do something similar and could use any advice.

    Cheers

Are you asking how to do the actionscript part or the php part? I have done a variety of Flash to Zen Cart applications now, so maybe I could help you figure it out.

Thanks for asking guys, it's awesome to be on a forum where people are keen and able to help!

I already have a flash object that mirrors the attribute names I've set up in my cart and I'd be really interested to learn if it's possible to take those input boxes and save them when adding the product to the cart. I guess then bring them back if the user wants to edit the product.

Thanks for the heads up on the image swapper - that will totally work if the cool flash stuff doesn't work :)

Has there been any progress on this? Im also doing a custom shirt website which could either use a Flash type option selection area or else maybe a tabbed product page?
