White Background-Need to change Price Colour

I want to have a White background for the whole of my site-BUT- If i do I will lose ALL of the following

1) Prices
2) Catergory Counts
3) IP address, Copyright and Design Labels
4)Product SubTitle, Manufacturer, Weight and No, in Stock Labels
5) Add to Cart, Product Added labels
6) Tell a Friend and Guests online Label
7)All white text everywhere else on site

Because all of the above is White Text

I have read around the forum, and have followed a few tips, but to no avail- Could someone lead me by the hand through this please- I am not a PHP guru, but I can edit if instructed

p.s. In brief what I would really like is a "One Stop" fix to change ALL the text on ALL the Pages and sideboxes etc to black

Hint:
Are you using firefox browser, with the add on web developer or firebug so you can view your stylesheet.css and make changes before you upload by fitp.

Hi thx for the reply- Yes I do have Firefox with the add-in, but when I point to the price I cants see where I can change the stylesheet- I have managed to change to change all the text except

1) Prices in Main Wrapper
2) Products details on Product details page
3) Product added to cart text
4) Warning Text in "Tell a Friend"
5) All text above item in the cart page
6) Text on Login Page
7) Text on suggest a link Page

I have made the background Grey at the moment so that it shows up- but I really want it white
