Removing categories in header of front page

Hi,

I've got categories showing in my left hand column and also at the top of the front page. How would I remove the redundant top cats?

The Admin panel/ configuration/ layout settings/ Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF

Set to 0

Have you searched the forum for other threads related to your problem???
If the problem is not about this thread then post a new thread on your topic in the Community Forum (the tab on the top of this page) and find a relative category to post your thread!! :)
