Table Rate Issues when based on Price (getting 0.00)

I've looked everywhere I can think of and haven't found a clue as to what I might be doing wrong here.

Installed Table Rate Clone mod according to instructions (but I was running into this issue before I installed the mod).

Issue:
Rate Table calculations don't seem to be working. Values keep showing as '0.00'.

Information:
I provided rate values as follows:
5:1.00,29.99:3.00,49.99:4.00,50.00:5.00

I selected 'Price' as table method. In one of the two tables, I tried multiple things to get it to work ... including putting $ in front of the amounts. Interestingly, if a % value is at the end (like the example in Admin) -- that with calculate (but nothing else will).

What I'm trying to achieve is a shipping charges as follows:

Order Total...........Shipping Charge
------------------------------------------
Up to 5.00..................... 1.00
5.01 to 29.99..................3.00
30.00 to 49.99................4.00
50.00 and up..................5.00


The second rate table is for upgraded shipping

Order Total ...........Shipping Charge
------------------------------------------
Up to 5.00....................5.00
5.01 to 29.99...............7.00
30.00 to 49.99.............8.00
50.00 and up...............9.00

DUH - I figured it out.

Basically, my cart value had $65 in it -- the last value I had in the list was '50:5.00'. It should have been 99999:5.00 (or whatever)

Thanks for the update that you were able to fix this and for posting the solution to help others with the problem of getting $0.00 for the shipping rates when the shipping charges should have remained at the final setting in the Table Rates table setting ...

Hey All,

I am also using Table Rate according to price. I have 4 tables setup to reflect U.S. and foreign as well as air mail and expidited. All of them are giving the bottom rate regardless of the price. IOW I could have a U.S. Table rate of 3.25 shipping for the first item which cost 7.50 and it would be the same shipping cost for an item which costs 40.00. I have checked the values in the tables and I believe they are correct.

Maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. I am sure that I am missing something simple.

You are using:

$0.00 - $24.00 = 3.25
$24.01 - $50.00 = 4.25
$50.01 - $75.00 = 5.25
$75.01 - $100.00 = 6.50
etc etc. etc.

What results are you getting?

I get 3.25 shipping on an order 0f 7.00 and 3.25 on an order of $400.00. It's as if it is stuck on 3.25 no matter what the item price is. BTW I also notcie that it is all 4 of the tables, they are all stuck on the lowest amount?

I cannot reproduce your error ...

I am using:

24:3.25,50:4.25,75:5.25,100:6.50,1000:7.75,1500:9.00,2000:12.00,2600:15.00

And I set a product to 7.00 and one to 400.00 and I am getting:
$7.00 has $3.25 shipping
$400 has $7.75 shipping

Make sure all are set to Price and that you have exactly the definition above with no "enter key" presses on the string ...

I checked again to make sure that all were set to price and that there were no "enter" key presses in the string. Then tried it again by placing a 400.00 item in the cart and the shipping still gave 3.25 for US flat rate (set to table rate) NOT flat.

Could there be sonething in the code that I need to repair?

I am assuming that you have an original copy of Table Rate table installed and have tried using these settings with it for:

24:3.25,50:4.25,75:5.25,100:6.50,1000:7.75,1500:9.00,2000:12.00,2600:15.00

I cannot say for sure as I cannot reproduce your pricing issue ...

Without looking at the code that you are using for the shipping module I am just guessing that something is off in the code or the configuration ...
