Help Me Customize Easy Populate

I understand how easy populate works. And I like that you can 'create' tables and bring them back down via entire catalog. I want to customize easy populate to make it pull down by manufacturer.

Example: If I have all Windows products and all Apple products separated by their manufacturer, and I want to do a price change on most of the apple products. I want to pull down ONLY the apple products, edit, and push back up. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Simply only upload the ones you want to change ? you do not have to upload the entire shop each time, simply adjust the ones you require changing and re upload , of only upload changed rows ? Use Excel or Cacl to do the sorting , using the filter or advanced search.

sorry i must not have been clear.

We already have 400,000+ products in the store. When we want to make price changes, quantity, etc. I want to grab only one manufacturer at a time from easy populate to CREATE a .txt file.

Example: Easy populate admin says:
Create EP and Froogle Files in Temp Dir ()

Create Complete tab-delimited .txt file in temp dir (Attributes Included) (Attributes Not Included)
Create Model/Price/Qty tab-delimited .txt file in temp dir
Create Model/Category tab-delimited .txt file in temp dir
Create Froogle tab-delimited .txt file in temp dir
Create Model/Attributes tab-delimited .txt file in temp dir


My task is to Create file categorized by Manufacturer
ie: Create Complete tab-delminted .txt file of Apple
Create Complete tab-delminted .txt file of Windows
Create Complete tab-delminted .txt file of Dell
etc. etc.

That way we have the complete file in one location. We can download it to the server, make the changes, and push it back up thru EP.
