Orders not showing in Admin

Hi,

I have setup a digital download store for a friend. I can get the order placed all the way through to paypal and back to the site to download from the site without any issue. However the order does not show in admin any where. I have checked all setup and downloaded the paypal log files from debug (see attached). Also how do I change it so that the customer receives an email with the link?

I have also had this problem. I am not using authorize.net and am not using eletronic downloads.

I see the Aim_Debug in the cache folder which is correct, but the database doesnt seem to record it for some reason. Still trying to find out what is wrong (it was working before).

After checking the IPN test you seem to have server time out issues

IPNCHECK.PHP - Version 1.0

IPN TESTING - POSTING to PayPal via: ssl://www.paypal.com:443

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded

Try having your host raising your Execution time and see if that helps, most likely your site is timing out when PayPal does the return on the payment.

Installing Curl would be the responsibility of your host if you are on a shared hosting plan. If you are on a dedicated server that is a different story.

Are you on a shared hosting or dedicated plan.

I have emailed my hosting company. They suggested I should do it earlier, however I have sent an email off to confirm. In the meantime can you advise how I should setup the curl script

The IPN processing logic in Zen Cart was not written to use CURL.
It uses the PHP fsockopen() functionality.

Changing that will require custom coding.

I am not sure why your web host is saying to install CURL in the first place even though it is recommended to do so for other functions and has to be installed by your web host.

The PayPal IPN in v1.3.x doesn't use CURL for anything

You need to make sure your server can receive communication from PayPal, as well as initiate it: http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/PayPal

If your host will not help you I would recommend looking for a alternative hosts that is willing to help you right off the bat.

my hosting is on a shared server and CURL is installed I have been advised. Is it easy to modify the code to get paypal working?
