Gift Cert - Total Value WRONG

Ok I emailed a test user (ME) a $50 gift cert.. I applyed the code it emailed me to my account.. then i removed the 0.00 and put in the 50.00 entered my CC info went to the next screen to prosess it
and got these INTERESTING VALUES.. as you can see the TOTAL is some STRANGE number not sure how this got added UP???????

I ran into the same issue and found other posts in the forum referring to that thread.

Same thing happening here. So how do you fix it? The "known bug" thread is just a giant list of known bugs and fixes and I could not find the fix...all I have to say is the Zen Cart gift certificate "system" is basically useless.

This worked awesome! Thanks for putting it here because this was so much easier to find. I found the 7 lines and commented them out like it said and now my gift certificates work perfectly!
