Looking for a solution for selling photos from a gallery

Hi all,

We are brand new to ZC and only just installed it a couple days ago. We're trying to see if it will work for us.

Our challenge seems to be finding a solution that will work to sell products as well as prints from a gallery of some sort. Gift certificates and picture frames etc. seem to be easy (tons of options) but when we photograph an event like a party or a wedding, there can be anywhere from 50 to 450 images for that event. We sell 4x5, 5x7,8x10 etc. prints to guests from the event, or students from the school we photographed. I know there are software solutions out there for selling photos from a gallery, but none of them have the ability to sell products like session fees, gift certificates, frames and so on. Besides, we want to keep our customers on our own site and in our own store.

Does ZC have a way of creating a gallery, one that doesn't require individual uploads of hundreds of images?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Software called Gallery2 (gallery.menalto.com) can be integrated with Zencart.

Gallery2 may be a good option for you because it enables you to password-protect elements (such as an album, or a picture). This is useful when you have lots of pics of private individuals / functions / events that people don't want brandished over the www to everyone and his dog! When you have your 450 pics of that wedding, upload them into an album that only the happy couple know the password to.

Gallery2 has many amazing tools - particularly bulk uploads of images, slideshow, viewing size, password protection of users and features and cataloging features.

I use gallery2 on a couple of my clients' sites (but have not fully integrated it with zencart - just built links from gallery to zen).

The last link you provided is a site that has exactly the functionality that I am looking for, my question is Gallery2 and integration with zen already available with a pre-built module/addon or did you have to manually code them together.

Sorry if this has been asked before just cant see it anywhere on the forums this is my first post and first experience of ZC
