Set P&P costs in Cart

Hi guys,

is there a way to show the P&P costs for international buyers in the cart before they have to register?

any other good ideas would be appreciated also..

If you have it enabled, the Information Sidebox will have a shipping info link to your define_shippinginfo.php page .

You describe your shipping and returns policies in that page.

You can also build internal hyperlinks to that page in other parts of your site (such as product description text) that goes something like this:

<a href="index.php?main_page=shippinginfo">See our shipping policy here</a>

goods can be placed in cart, but only UK P&P is shown...

wish for it to be like:

unsure if you can view the cart, but just try to add something to the cart...you will see the full postage costs in table format.

if possible?? any suggesetions

You can configure your shopping cart page to display the shipping estimator as PART OF THE PAGE instead of having it as a button-driven popup.

NOTE: the only draw back to displaying the Shipping Estimator on the shopping_cart is when there is a problem with obtaining a quote from UPS or USPS due to issues with their server ...

If their servers are slow, then the shopping_cart page is slow ...

If their servers are playing dead, then the shopping_cart page is dead ...

While this does not happen a lot, it can happen and cause a lot of problems ... as long as you are aware of this, and now know just change the setting back to the Shipping Estimator button when those times happen ... you should be good to go ...
