    Default Customer not recieving gv email, but all other emails

    I have an issue when a customer places an order for a GC (GIFT-5) they recieve all of the order emails. But not the email stating how to send the GC to someone.. There is supposed to be an email like that, correct?

    I've placed a few orders myself to make sure..

    The customer can log into:

    https://straightrazordesigns.com/ind...n_page=gv_send

    and see the balance and then send an email, which is sent and received. Any help would be appreciated.

    You have to release the GV via your admin ... at which time the email is sent to them.

    Then it gets strange, as nothing is showing up in the Gift Certificate Release Queue. It's as empty as can be.

    How do you have your Gift Certificate setup on the Product?

    You say you have:
    Product Model: GIFT-5
    Product Price: 5.00
    Product is Virtual: Yes, Skip Shipping Address
    Product is Always Free Shipping: No, Normal Shipping Rules
    Product Weight: 0

    And you have in the Modules ... Order Totals ... Gift Certificates ot_gv ... set for:
    Queue Purchases
    Do you want to queue purchases of the Gift Voucher?

    true
    false
    and set that to True ... correct?

    I have:

    No: Shipping Address Required (Which I changed)
    Yes: Always Free Shipping (Which I changed).
    The rest were the same.

    This time i did see a notice after checking out, that I could send the GC's to people. But no email received. Is there not an email that is sent along with order notifications with a how to on sending the GC's?

    The email goes out when the GV Queue is set ON in the Modules ... Order Totals ... Gift Certificates ot_gv ...

    Otherwise, there is nothing to Queue and nothing to email about as the Gift Certificate is automatically added to the account ...

    Be aware ... if they do not have a valid payment method and you do not use the GV Queue ... they have that money available to them immediately and can use it or send it off to someone as soon as their order is places ...

    Thanks for the update that turning on the Gift Certificate Queue in the Order Totals module for GVs ot_gv was able to resolve the problem ...
