    Default Combine databases?

We currently have 2 separate ZenCart sites with separate databases. My client would like to combine the customers into 1 database since we will be combing all of the products into one online store. All the products are new so I'll be entering them manually, but I'd like to be able to copy all of the customers info from one database to another.

    SITE #1 = 871 Customers
    SITE #2 = 314 Customers

We're changing hosts so I plan on copying the entire SITE #1 database and importing it via PHP MyAdmin on the new server, so we'd only need to copy and import the customers from SITE #2.

As long as we can get as we can get the customer info, logins/passwords, and addresses I don’t really care about the orders. We just want the existing customers of SITE #2 to be able to log in and purchase products from SITE #1 (new combined site) with their existing customer info.

Please let me know if there is method of doing this, or if I should attempt posting this in Commercial Help Wanted.

    THANK YOU!!!

This can certainly be done. It just needs a little SQL expertise and a good knowledge of how the Zen Cart tables interact. For somebody with both those skills it would be relatively straightforward.

Should you change your mind about keeping the orders, the ease or difficultly with which this can be done would depend on how the product lists were being combined.

However, this is pretty specialist stuff and if you don't know how to do it, then yes the Commercial Help Wanted forum would be appropriate, and make sure that you are dealing with somebody who has already done something similar or migrated customer data from another system.

I have a similar question as kgmmusic. I have 2 Different Zen Cart data bases, and I would like to combine both sites into 1 site, importing all of the contacts and products from 1 site into another.

    Is this possible?

You might read the response kuroi gave, as it still holds true whether this is your 2 sites that you want to merge the databases from or kgmmusic or fred's ...
