Product listing image not showing

I have two of my images that are not coming up on the product listing page, and subsequently not on the product info page. I am doing exactly the same as what I do with my other images, have checked and rechecked the filenames for something wrong, and have tried deleting the items and re-inserting them.

Could there be a reason for this?

I would appreciate any help.

Check the names of the images - Do they have a space between words or an apostrophe or other special character in them?

Thanks, that seems to have sorted it out. The funny thing is, that most of the names do work with spaces in.

There are a couple of rules for web design - #1 is NEVER use spaces in files names - that may work fine on your PC, but most web servers will barf them up.

I have a new problem...I have just finished putting 144 items into one sub category, and ONLY ONE does not have the image showing in the product listing. I have gone back and redone the whole bit, took hyphens out of the filenames and substituted them with underscores, but it still comes up the same ....no picture.

The image name is _

White_fronted_Bee_eater_(Melittophagus_bullockoides)_Anchor_LRG

and the filename as in the server is _

White_fronted_Bee_eater_(Melittophagus_bullockoides)_Anchor.pdf

Is there anything else I can try?

Problem solved! The filename of the image was too long...shortened it, and hey, Presto!

NOTE: also try not to use the extra characters like the parenthesis you have in the filenames ... as Kim suggested earlier, alpha numeric is the way to go ...
