You're on a Windows server; thus you need to change one parameter to deal with windows limitations:

Thanks for the reply - I have done as instructed but now get

    Result code: 1
Error valueA: operable program or batch file.
    Error valueB:
Warning 0 => '"mysqldump"' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
Warning 1 => operable program or batch file.
Error Failure: The database has NOT been saved.

It appears that the "--host" issue has been resolved but there is still something amiss.

Find out what the correct path is for the mysqldump.exe program, and enter that specifically in the /admin/includes/languages/english/backup_mysql.php file.

This does not seem to be anywhere on my host. Is this available as a stand alone program and if so is it just a case of uploading it to the relevant folder specified in /admin/includes/languages/english/backup_mysql.php file.

    Thanks again.

It comes as part of a standard install of MySQL. You'll have to ask your hosting company to install it to the server.
