Creating a www redirect on Godaddy

I have my store hosted on godaddy. I am trying to redirect my non-www version to the www version using the .htaccess file but it just doesnt work on godaddy servers. I am presently successfully using the 301 redirect code on 4 other websites hosted elsewhere and am having no problems. Only on godaddy it doesnt work. I contacted their support team and their only answer was that they can't help with coding.

Anyone has any idea what I am supposed to do?

If you change .htaccess on godaddy, wait a few hours until it works. They cache the .htaccess rules

Thanks for your help Raine. I got it to work now. The problem was that I had placed the redirect code after the ssu code. Changed than and now works fine.

BTW, the changes on godaddy are now reflected instantly.
