Cannot login to Admin

I am unable to login to the admin, even after resetting the password. I followed the instructions on adding a temporary user 'Admin' password 'admin', and do see it in my SQL database. However, I am still unable to login with this temporary ID. The username and password fields simply blank out, and I am left on the login page.

I'm having this same issue, after migrating my cart to another host.

Everything is working beautifully, except I can't login and when customers get to the end of the check out process (Submit order) just when the cart is trying to call to paypal, I get a 500 Internal Server Error.

That, and because I've followed the steps to reset the passwords in MyPHPAdmin I know it's not really a login issue. It's something I'm not configuring right.

Just FYI -

I didn't have the /cache/ directory at 777

I can't believe with all the different reasons for this to happen, nobody had this simple one! LOL
