Ship within the US only

Hello:

I'm wondering what the proper/right steps are to set up a site that only ship within the US? If the shipping address is outside the US, the order will not be completed.

Can anyone give me step by step instructions?

go to admin > locations / taxes > zones definitions and create a zone give it a name chose United States after it creates the zone click on it, you will see that DC is in there you have to put the rest of the states in there yourself click edit, after that when you configure your shipping modules just remember to use the zone.

Can you rephrase this? it is not too clear

Go to admin > locations / taxes > zones definitions and create a zone, press "Insert" to the left type a name for the zone and a description press "Insert", highlight the zone and click "details" you can see that DC is in there you have to put the rest of the states you want to ship to in there just press "edit" and keep adding till you have your zone built.

Now shipping modules all have a shipping zone just select the zone you built as the zone and that will be the only zone that you ship to everyone else will get an error message, something like we not shipping to your zone at this time or something.
