    Default Authorize.net (AIM) Authorize.net (SIM)

What's the difference between Authorize.net (AIM) and
    Authorize.net (SIM)?

    I always recommend AIM.

AIM is more secure and keeps customers on your site while making payment. This keeps the process simple and secure. An SSL certificate is required on your site.

SIM takes customers to another site to make payment, making the payment process more complicated. It relies on sharing the data back after payment is completed, and is thus somewhat vulnerable to fraud.
