Default Not showing correct config file

I have zen cart in a folder called Designs. My client wanted a duplicate cart on her site in a folder called beta. I followed the instructions here: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=100

Everything went fine. When I go to the beta site the links on the homepage direct to the beta folder. However, if I click on one of those links, for example a category, I remain in the beta folder, but once on the category page the links direct me to the old Designs folder.

I have set the configure file to the beta folder, but for some reason it is grabbing the configure file from the Designs folder rather than the beta folder. Additionally, when I login to the admin and edit an EZ page (in the beta folder), no changes are made to the page.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Before you add, modify or delete any further data, you must establish where your problem(s) lie.

I trust that for your DUPLICATE store, you created a completely NEW database NAME, and point the copied store to that database?

Are the two stores on the SAME SERVER or SAME DOMAIN? (oh yes... I see that they are... even more reason why you need to be very careful.)

    Did you run fix_cache_key.php ?

Yes, I duplicated both the database and all the files. I pointed the config file to the new database.

They are on the same domain and same server.

I did run the fix cache and it said everything was good.

When I ran the fix cache key I put it in the beta folder. Is that right?
