Online shipping modules like UPS, USPS etc uses the store country of origin and postal code to determine the shipping quotes to destination.

What if you have a manufacturer who ships out the items purchased at your store from a different origin?

Example: Your store is located in Texas and you have an item A from a vendor located in New York (In other words you don't keep stock of the item in your location but rather have the vendor ship it out from their location).

When Item A is bought from your store and the vendor ships out from New York to destination, UPS calculates from Texas to destination and there will be a difference in actual shipping cost.

Is there a way to work around this? or if not, how do you handle such a case if you have one? Just absorb the difference?

Thanks!
