Coupon creation error

Just had GoDaddy install Zen Cart and ran across this problem creating coupons. No matter what I enter, the following happens:
1) Coupon name is erased
2) Coupon description is erased
3) Coupon amount is reset to zero
4) Coupon minimum order is reset to zero
5) Start date is reset to 11/30/2036
6) End date is reset to 11/30/2036

I've tried to go back in to edit, but the changes are not saved.

I'm using version version 1.3.8a.
Modules->Order Totals shows that the Discount Coupons are installed.

What am I missing?

What version of Zen Cart are you using?

Has your site been upgraded? When? From what version(s)?

What addons have you installed? When?

In what ways is your site customized or different from a brand new uncustomized install?

WHEN did the problem "start"? How does that compare with other events of your hosting company, changes you've made to your site files/addons, or your admin settings, etc?

If this is your first store, have you tested all aspects of transactions before going live?


How are you setting the dates to beyond 2018?

Can you create a coupon with the default dates?

Version is 1.3.7

No upgrade as far as I know (someone else set it up & maintained it for me...until now).

The only add on is a download email function.

I was hacked recently & thought I had fixed everything.

As far as I know, the coupon admin was working until I changed my admin folder name.

My store has been up for almost a year.....

Please go easy on me :).....like I said, someone else set zen up for me & custumized it. I'm learning as I go here, have a serious handicap when it comes to website stuff, but can follow directions.

I'm thinking I may need to reload the admin files? I guess I would need to be careful not to replace the files I had to change for the security patch & the files that were changed when the admin folder was renamed?

Oh yes.......

Didn't see the dates part in the original post....don't think there's an issue with wrong dates.

When I create a coupon & click preview, it takes me to the main admin home page.
Then, when I go back to the Coupon manager, no coupon...nothing....EXCEPT when I made a copy of an existing coupon. The copy is there (listed), but when I try to edit it, the same thing happens (when I click preview, I get redirected to the admin home page). Then when I go back to the Coupon manager, the copy is still listed, but no changes are there (it's the original copy).

Did you recently install the Security Patches?

It sounds like you may have installed the Security Patch(es) incorrectly ...

Check the file on your server for:
/admin/includes/functions/html_output.php

and make sure it is the right file from the Security Patches listed at:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131115

You may wish to download them again and install them fresh ...

Also check your configure.php file for the Admin on the server:
/admin/includes/configure.php

and ensure that all of the paths, directories and URLs are correct ...

Yes, I installed the security patches last week.

I'll check the files you listed & try installing again like you've suggested.

Hopefully, I'm not reacting too quickly, but it looks like I fixed it.

When checking the files you listed I found there were 2 /admin/includes/functions/html_output files.
One with .php on the end (the correct one) & one with no file extension.
After deleting the file with no extension, I tested the coupon funtion, and so far no problems.
Everything seems to be working properly.
