Shipping Questions

I have the 1.3.8 version just had it updated a few days ago. I'm not sure what I need to do to it now. I was using the 1.3.7.. I am a business that uses drop shipment and I'm wondering what others have done for shipping that has been helpful? I haven't installed any ad ons since the newest upgrade. Not really having an issue with zen cart mostly just wanting suggestions about what is the best form of shipping if someone does drop shipping.

hi vialisa,

assuming you are getting an order from a customer and they have paid for the product, you would then obviously pass the order on to the supplier and instruct them to ship the product to the customer (naturally you need to pay the supplier).

if this correct then you only need the store pickup / walk-in module which is readily activated in admin.

next you need to change the wording on the relevant checkout page from "Store Pickup / Walk-in" to anything you like.

if you are using paypal express checkout instead of paypal ipn then the modification of this page would be totally unnecessary.

all above is based on the assumption that shipping costs are incorporated in the price of the product you are selling.

How does one change the wording on the checkout page?

Can I change it to Local Delivery?
