Now that this contribution has been added to the "Free Software Add Ons", I'm starting a support thread for any questions, conerns, or improvements!

Although the Who's Online feature is already extremely functional, IMO it has needed a 'make-over' for a long time coming. This add-on is a visual enhancement to the existing tool along with the ability to control your refresh rate in seconds via JavaScript.

Features include:

- Added icons for logged in users, guests, and spiders
- Added new icons for cart status
- CSS changes to improve readability and usability
- Added a Javascript functionality for a refresh control rate

I know this mod is new, has there been any bugs reported?, what advantages are there with using this mod beside the stock whos online. thank you

I have not encountered any bugs with, it seems perfectly stable. It just makes things easier to see, and clearer to understand.

Hi Ryan,

As of right now, like Heather said, it is more of an aesthetic upgrade with modified CSS and new icons. The one functionality upgrade is a adjustable refresh rate option (ie: you can set it to refresh at 10 secs, 30 sec, 1 min, or any other increment you want)

If anyone has any ideas on other features to add to this module, I am more than happy to consider them in a new patch.

Thanks for the improved version. Is there any way that you can add a way to filter out the admin's ip address from the list?

How do you use the "extra" downloads with zencart? I downloaded this one (enhanced who's online) and also the admin activity report one but I can't figure out how to use them with zencart. What am i supposed to do once I download and extract files? Thanks

Hi lesam,

All of the extra downloads for Zen Cart all come with a README.txt or an INSTALL.txt included in the .zip file.

For this add-on there is an install.txt file included in the download that explains everything that you need to do to install this on your site. Since its a really simple install I will post that file below:

Install:
========
1. Unzip and upload all files to your store's admin directory;
- /YOUR ADMIN/whos_online.php -> YOUR_SITE/YOUR_ADMIN/whos_online.php
- /YOUR_ADMIN/images/* -> YOUR_SITE/YOUR_ADMIN/admin/images/*

2. Go to Admin->Tools->Who's Online

Let me know if you need any additional help.

Yeah that would be cool. Also any possibility to show who's been online for longer than it currently shows. For example showing who has been online (their ips ect) for the last day or week? (thanks for the mod btw)
