catagories and product list

I am trying to see where to go to so that I can show all of the catagories and sub catagories showing. I dont want to have to click on the catagories to see the subs.thanking you all

admin panel/ configuration/ layout settings/ Categories - Always Open to Show SubCategories

This doesn't open all of the categories all the time, though. For that you need to install one of the expanded categories mods from Free Addons.

hi there, that is what I have it at, but it not working. It does show How many products in the sub in ( ) but not the actual list of them. thanks
