New Zen user needs help with setting up specific product

Hi, I'm trying to set up a specific product type and I'm wondering if there is a way to do this:

I have a product which is a 4 part "Media Series" to be purchased on either CD or DVD. Ideally, I would like the product options to be displayed like so..

Media Type: (dropdown)
CD ($6.00 ea.)
DVD ($7.00 ea)

Series: (checkbox)
All 4 Parts
Part One
Part Two
Part Three
Part Four

----

I'm able to create these fields just fine but I'm just a little confused how to change the pricing from $6.00 to $7.00 depending on the "Media Type" selection.


Here is what I have resorted to for the time being which works ok, but I'd like it to be a little more simple.

(you have to click the "Individual Series/Media Type" button below to show the options. I have them placed in a jquery slider.)

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Being new to ZenCart is not the issue if you are not also new to programming. This is far too complicated to be covered in a forum environment.

Writing new product types is an involved process.

However, you probably don't need a separate product type, when you can configure attributes to your product, and allow those attributes to set the pricing.

Thanks for the link and replies. I'll probably just stick with what I have for now. I was just wondering if there was a some way to do this with all the various attribute settings (which I'm not completely familiar with yet).
