    red flag USPS Testing/Production Mode

    Does anyone know how one goes about setting up the USPS Shipping Module.

    I followed the directions, signed up for the USPS Web Tools, got the test id and password back, put in the user id and did a fake order to see about making a test to their server, and of course my site has this red warning/error that the shipping module is in test mode...yadadadada...and the email I get back from their server is not what their email said it should be, it looks like:
    <Error>
    <Number>80040b1a</Number>
    <Description>Authorization failure. You are not authorized to connect to this server.</Description>
    <Source>UspsCom:oAuth</Source>
    </Error>

    Is that what it should look like when it is testing?

    Sa,

    I've set up zillions (ok maybe not THAT many) USPS modules.
    You really don't have to go through the test process - just call the # in your email - tell them you're using zencart and they will flip you to production right away.

    Make sure you have uploaded the USPS revision or your prices will be wonkie and Int'l may not work. Change your USPS settng to production too.

    Once you do that, if you have problems holler at me for help!

    Tina's right. With Zen Cart, you skip the "testing" process. Related FAQ article: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=327

    I am having the same code error. I have used the updated code, and have gotten confirmation that I am switched to the production server.

    I have sent an email asking if my ratecalculator API is turned on, and that it is turned on for domestic and International. I will post my solution to this fix, once or if I can get it.

    ok, so I got a quick response back from usps.

    it works now, so my ratecalculator must not have been turned on. So if you are still getting that error even when you have been switched to the production server, make sure that your ratecalculator has been turned on for domestic and intern########al by sending them an email or calling them.

    I have downloaded and installed the new patch per the instructions. Thank you everyone for your help with this. I have contacted USPS and am awaiting their email back notifying me that it is turned to production - I will also watch to be sure that they turned the rate calculator on.

    Thanks again for your wonderful help.
