Side boxes and middle content disappeared

36 hours ago the store I've been working on was fine.. all the boxes showed and every thing was right as rain. I gave the owner the ok to start adding things into the store and all she did was add 4 folders to categories. Now the sideboxes are gone and the middle content is as well.

I reset the layout boxes ... nothing ...
I went in to see if possible someone she let have access had gone in and changed the size of things in Layout settings and they appear unchanged.
Only thing I can think of that I edited that would even come close to causing this is adding the best sellers mod.. but still after adding that the stores boxes were there.

I am reuploading my back up to the store as we speak but I doubt now that will fix it ... any suggestions? Litterally all that was done since the last time everything worked was 4 sub categories were added.

I forgot to add its missing in both the classic default and the template I installed for them

adding categories to your site , should not remove your override template , since those changes only gets added to Database ..
once you upload your back up , make sure you follow security settings for your files and folders.

I know which is why I'm not understanding it .. I re uploaded my last back up instance and there is still no change. I just found out about it this am from a email by the store owner. I asked her what all was touched within that time frame and havent heard back ... only thing I can think of is that a possibility of a left off asterick when I added the best sellers categories * but that wouldn't effect side boxes* But too I dont believe that it would have messed with it. because everything was there after I had installed it.

I do have different instances of back up on here though * thank God* just dont want to have to go back too far for what all I have installed into it. Waiting to hear from her to see what she wants to do though .. it has me totally stumped.

Usually when you get this dort of disappearing trick in Zen Cart (or other php generated pages) it has something to do with missing closing tags or doubled up closing tags in the code. This can happen if someone adds inappropriate tags within, say, a product or category description, maybe because they copied and pasted text from a visual editor like Dreamweaver, and included too much in their copy.

Just a guess of course, but that's what I'd look into.

but he said , is missing classic and custom template .. i don't think they would disappear from physical location just like that ..

I will look in the debugging thread here in a bit this is what the store owner told me had been done

in the past 36 hours i added the designers in manufacturers and i added them as admin to let them in giving them access to add their products the sale and that is is one has started adding kits nothing other that that has been done or touched yesterday morning it was fine then last night it was like it is now


and yes its like that in both the custom template and the default.
I'll take a look at taht debugging thread but I seriously doubt it will fix it .. I mys just have to go back to an earlier backup that I did

Test to see if it is one of your Left sideboxes by just turning off the Left Column for a minute ...

I can see in the View Source it dies after the Categories sidebox is drawn ...
