Unfortunately, your template designer has redone the main page using tables, so it's hard to say. Colorzilla says that color is #FFEC9D, which doesn't appear in your stylesheet, so it must be set in the template files. Search in the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit for #FFEC9D to see where changes must be made.
On a quick glance, the "background" color is not set with color styling at all, but entirely with images. All of those images will have to be redone in Photoshop or whatever to the colors you want.
Yes, this looks like a template. I downloaded it and opened it up in my editor. The yellow background is integrated into the images.
If this is a purchased template than it should have come with the Photoshop files as well. You need to edit the colors in Photoshop or similar program.
