Default Trying to access my site on new server, but using same domain name as old server?

    Hi

I currently have Zen-Cart installed on shop.mydomain.com . I am moving to a new host. They asked me what my domain would be. I put the same name as my previous domain. I will update the dns servers as soon as I am ready to switch.

I am also doing a clean install of zen cart to the latest version (my old one was getting buggy with non-working add-ons) and it will also be on the same subdomain of 'shop' on the new host.

My problem now is that when I try to get into the admin area of my new zen cart it keeps redirecting me to my old admin area on shop.mydomain.com/admin . This is happening because my new hosts thinks my domain is shop.mydomain.com and thus zen-cart was set up to redirect to shop.mydoamin.com/admin. Now I can't enter the new zen cart's admin area. Is there a way to bypass this until I am ready to change my dns servers?

    Thanks in advance.

If you have a dedicated IP you can create special configure.php files replacing domain name with the IP only until repointed

    Hi

Thanks, that worked. I did look in the configuration.php file with no help. Forgot about the configure.php files. I was on the right track though.
