Go to: Admin > Configuration > Emails and see what email address is being used. If it's incorrect, correct it.

Can I choose to not use the store contact form for customers sending emails? I would rather just have a statement on that page with my email address, I have been having trouble with emails getting to me and just cant figure out how to use it. Kathleen

Yes, you can. Link here is tutorial to disable the default ZenCart contact form. And then you can add an EZPage with your desired contact info formatted as you like it.
