Products with ordering lead time?

Hi All,

I have a situation where my supplier has a lot of items that they dont stock, that I still want to sell. When I get thier data feed, in the date available field they will usually have something like 5 days or 2 days indicating that they can get the item with 5 days lead time.

I want to offer this to my customers so they can still order but I am having trouble woring out how to:

1. Be able to order items that have 0 stock
2. Show my customers that there is a lead time on the item

Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Misty,

That's a great mod however does not do what I want. It does not allow the user to actually place an order for the product.

The product will never be in stock, it will only ever be ordered IF the end user wishes to buy it, so I need to be able to let the user place an order for the item.

Any other ideas?
