    Default Help REq'd Please: Making My Site Secure Using SLL Certificate

    Hi all

    I am just looking for a bit of help with my SSL Certificate that I ahve just purchased/installed.

    Please can someone guide me on how to now set this up in ZenCart.

    I have checked any my domain is working with https://www.mydomain.com and also with https://mydomain.com

    It is a Comodo InstantSSL certificate that I have, so it is my own certificate rather than a shared one.

    I am not too great with code but have read that I need to edit includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php

    However, I am not 100% sure of what I need to change in here to make sure it works for https://www.mydomain.com and also with https://mydomain.com

    I read in another post that I need to add the following code:

    Code:
    // Define the webserver and path parameters
    define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.YOUR_SHOP.com');
    define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.YOUR_SHOP.com');
    define('ENABLE_SSL', 'true');
    But... do I need to do something else for my domain without www at the front?

    It also says in the other post that I was reading that 'You may have to load the whole catalog into an HTTPS directory also'

    What does this mean and how do I know if I need to do this or not?

    Then... finally!!! I am going to use a Comodo 'Corner of Trust' seal on all of my pages. Please can someone advise what file I would need to add the code to in order to make sure it appears on every page. (it's the same as the one in the bottom corner of this page: http://www.instantssl.com/index.html)

    Comodo provide some code to add to each page. I presume that there is a template/file somewhere that I need to add this to in order to make it visible on all pages in my Zen site??

    Many thanks in advance for any help

    Phil

    That would verify your SSL Cert has been installed correctly and should work with Zen Cart.

    If your Zen Cart site was working correctly before, then all you need to do is enable SSL within both config files.

    define('ENABLE_SSL', 'true');

    It also says in the other post that I was reading that 'You may have to load the whole catalog into an HTTPS directory also'
    Keyword in that sentence is "may". If you do the above and no problems then no worries. If you do have problems then your best help would come from your Hoster.

    Excellent!!!

    Thanks a lot for your help, I will go and change this now and will test it out :)

    I don't suppose you know which file I need to add the Comodo 'Corner of Trust' logo code to do you, so that it appears on all pages of my site?

    Thanks again for your help, I really appreciate it
