Remove log in

I am trying to remove the log in options when someone attempts to purchase an item - I want there to be less obstacles to buying the products. Can this be done in the admin or do I have to amend some files?

thanks haredo - this is very useful but I want to completely bypass this page so anyone can purchase without having to register or having an account - how is this done

Short answer - you can't completely eliminate it in stock Zen Cart. You can make the info collected minimized to what you actually need for sales, except for the password, and change the text to emphasize that you are collecting billing/shipping info.

If you really want nobody to be able to log in and check their order status etc, there are a couple of mods that will do this. Look in Free Addons, and look in the forum or wiki for COWOA.
