Google Webmaster Tools Verification Error -

I just tried to re-verify my Google webmaster tools by uploading a new google.html file, and I'm getting this error

We've detected that your 404 (file not found) error page returns a status of 200 (Success) in the header.

I'm using Zencart 1.3.8a with a few different plug-ins.

I saw some posts on this matter for previous versions of Zen, but all those changes are in 1.3.8a (I think)

Are there some things I can check?

Are there any plug-ins that are likely to conflict?

Any help would be appreciated.

This is NOT to say that you should not resolve this, because you should.... But if you verify w/ a Meta Tag the 404 will not cause a verification error.

Just found the problem.

Configuration -> My Store

I needed to change Missing Page Check to Page Not Found.

It would be nice if there was a way to issue a 404 and *then* redirect back to the home page....

Is there a way to do this?

I've always hated "Page Not found" and prefer to be directed to the homepage - homepages are always more informative.


Any tips on how to accomplish would be most welcome
