Bottom colour in side boxes

Hi all

I am new to this site and this software, only downloaded it this morning, and need some help on something that is probably quite simple!

I have changed the colours of my shop successfully apart from the bottoms of the sideboxes. I have edited the css sheets to give the bottoms the colour I want but they don't change.

Can someone put me straight on what I am missing?

How did you edit the color? The green at the bottom of the Classic template sideboxes is a border-bottom property.

I use Notepad++ to edit with on my local machine and then upload it to my server.

I have done that in both the css sheets and still doesn't work. I will put the sheets back to the original copies and try again

Hi, Thanks for trying to help.

I deleted the edited versions of the stylesheet.css in both the classic and default folders. I then replaced with the originals and copied the one from the classic to my local drive. I then edited this in exactly the same way, changing the colour code to what I wanted, #3E6DC9, using Notepad++ and uploaded to my site.

Hey Presto! it worked?!?

I don't know why it didn't work the first time, and I see that others have had the same problem so I hope by me listing what I have done helps somebody else too.

You didn't perchance leave a renamed original copy of the stylesheet in /includes/templates/classic/css/, did you? If so, that could have been the problem - all files named styles*.css are loaded in alphabetical order, and the last one loaded will control if there are conflicts.

That's where I went wrong!
