    Default Persistent Database Connections (USE_PCONNECT)

Just wondering what the recommended setting for: USE_PCONNECT is and why. Mine is set to false but why would I want to change this to true? Do you get any performance gains?

If anyone has stories to tell about their experience with this setting and what benefits if any were gained or lost when enabling this, would love to hear them!

You really do not want to try to run with persistant connections - http://www.softwareprojects.com/resources/

The recommended setting for: USE_PCONNECT is OFF.

Why. Because turning it ON would be like being a Parent with Teenagers in the house. You would never be able to use the Phone because they would be on it all the time.

Zen Cart nowadays actually ignores the USE_PCONNECT setting, and always connects directly on-demand, never with pconnect.
