Welcome email not sent with COWOA, fast & easy checkout, easy signup/login mods

Did you ever figure this out? I seem to be having similar issues. I can do Tools>Send Mail just fine. But my order conformation, welcome email and admin email do not work.. Have linkpoint in debug mode and do get those emails. Turned linkpoint off debug but still no email.

Same here. Installed the mod this afternoon. Yesterday i have checked if customers received email. They did. it was completely working. Today, no email. All works well, but no welcome email is sent.

Please anyone that has a clue, report this here. Couple people that are having this problem with this mod.

I installed it last week in a clean Zencart installation, and had the same problem. I didn't have time then to mess with it, so I wiped out the Zencart installation and started over.

Since there aren't any (that I can find) posts about this in the mod's support thread, I'm assuming it's a bug that slipped in when the FEC and COWOA were merged to create the latest version.

Currently numinix replied to me that they are looking into this problem.
God knows how long this will take.

same problem here - ZC1.3.8a, latest FEC 1.31 and ESL installed. No account confirmation or order confirmation emails sent out. Email can be manually sent from admin without problems so email setup is fine. Will post anything I find out.....

Update...
I guessed the problem had something to do with create_account.php from the FEC ESL install (includes>modules>YOUR TEMPLATE>create_account.php). Had a look at the code but couldn't figure out the problem.
However, I just deleted the file so the system reverts back to the original create_account.php in includes>modules and my account confirmation email and order confirmation email is now working fine.
It doesn't seem to have affected anything else but that may just be to do with my particular setup. I was lucky you might be to....

It's not a real fix but it will do me until someone figures it all out.

Try comparing an older version of the mod with the new one, you should see the differences. I am using an older version of this mod (before it was merged with COWOA) and have no issues with the email

Just a note, COWOA doesn't send account confirmation emails since they are checking out without an account. The admin will still receive the email, though. We use these emails to track which are COWOA and which are true accounts, it's easy for us to see this since we don't offer the sign up discount coupon, the COWOA email still has that paragraph in it while the regular account emails do not.

I also have the problem of Welcome emails not being sent (and all other emails working fine), but mine used to work for a while after installing FEC with COWOA and ESL. It somehow got messed up after I tinkered with the Newsletter option...it's been a month now and I still haven't figured it out.

2. You said "welcome emails not being sent". Are you sure they're not *sent*? Or just that they don't seem to *arrive*? There's a huge difference. Try enabling the Email Archiving feature, and use the Email Archive Manager addon to see whether the emails are actually *sent* or not. If they're sent without error, they'll show in the archive. And, after they leave Zen Cart the actual delivery is up to the mail servers ... so any non-delivery should be tracked down at the mailserver level, perhaps in conjunction with your hosting company.
