Currency Changing With Country

I have searched around for this but can't seem to find a solution anywhere!

Currently my cart is in GBP. There is only two countries that people can register to and that is UK and US. I want it so when someone registers with the US the currency changes to USD.

I have got the currencies set up and they are updated, just won't seem to change.

Any help would be great, thanks.

Have you added the US as a language in admin > localization > languages

Not name but US for code and should have a flag gif also

I have set all that up but it is saying missing files and directories. Also the currency still hasn't changed. Do I need to copy the english.php file or is it the whole directory?

I assume it states "Missing language files or directories"

As both are english, go back and check for the directory pointing when you edit each

admin > localization > Languages > select lang > edit > set directory to /english

In eCommerce software Currency is linked to Languages, and Languages in use on the website are linked to the language in use on the visitors Browser/Keyboard.

What this means is that if the visitor has English as their browser/keyboard language and your site has English as one of its languages then it can only have one currency defaulting to that language. They can switch currencies manually, but Americans and British can only have one default currency.
